Wasagaming Community Arts (WCA) is a community-focused gallery and arts centre that has supported artists, artisans, and creative programming in Wasagaming and the surrounding area for over 55 years.
We’re led by a dedicated, volunteer-run Board and supported by a small team of paid seasonal staff — all working together to keep the gallery, boutique, exhibitions, workshops, and events thriving. At WCA, you’ll be part of a welcoming team that cares about creativity, community connection, and making the arts accessible to everyone.

Gallery Assistant
Come join our team as the WCA Gallery Assistant this summer!
We’re looking for an enthusiastic, community-minded person to welcome and engage with visitors, support boutique sales and inventory, and help with our events, exhibitions, and workshops.
It’s a fun, hands-on role — a great chance to connect with local artists, be part of a supportive team, and help keep the gallery running smoothly.

Role Details
Full-time hours
Position runs from May to beginning of September 2025
Candidate needs to be located in (or able to easily commute to) Wasagaming, Riding Mountain National Park
Successful Candidate has good communication skills; is a good team player; has experience with social media and designing in Canva; has a high attention to detail and accuracy.
No previous experience working in a gallery is necessary, but a familiarity and interest in art is definitely an asset!

We’re looking for an organised, friendly, and community-minded Administrator to support our day-to-day gallery operations from May to early September.
Role Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll help keep things running smoothly behind the scenes — and out on the gallery floor — through work like:
Email/phone correspondence and office records
Marketing + communications (posters, invitations, promotions, press releases)
Website and social media updates (Facebook + Instagram)
Boutique support (sales + artist inventory)
Daily opening/closing routines and point-of-sale/cash reconciliation
Supporting events, exhibitions, and course registration
